Cincinnati Sports Club has programs that teach children the art of self-defense which can also help increase their self-esteem. At present, the Sports Club offers two different martial arts classes – Taekwondo and Karate.

Taekwondo is one of many martial arts from Korea, characterized by its fast, high, and spinning kicks. Those who practice Taekwondo are exposed to a life philosophy. The first goal of Taekwondo is to achieve harmony between mind and body; then harmony with other people, nature, and ultimately, the universe. The Sports Club’s Taekwondo program accommodates participants ages 6 to adult.

Both types of martial arts classes offered by the Sports Club offer an opportunity for you and your child to spend time together – and get your kicks as well!

The Cincinnati Sports Club’s martial arts instructors are accomplished, dedicated practitioners of Karate and Taekwondo. One such instructor, Ed Feldhaus, has been with the Sports Club for more than 14 years. He has a ninth-degree Black Belt, was a 1965 and 1966 All-Asian Champion, and was a 1992 U.S. Olympic coach.
