Pilates May Schedule
The new Mind Body Center is now open at the Cincinnati Sports Club! This 4000-square-foot space is one of the largest mind-body centers of any fitness club in Cincinnati. We are expanding our Pilates program, we recently began offering yoga classes, and we are looking to offer other low impact, joint friendly, mind-body services in the future. Come and visit the Mind Body Center on the second floor of Cincinnati Sports Club!
Pilates Pilates, a mind-body workout based upon the principles of Joseph Pilates, was developed during the 1920's. The Pilates Reformer, a professional-grade piece of equipment used specifically for Pilates, specializes in Pilates-based body conditioning, postural assessment, gait analysis, balance, and strength and flexibility training.
Pilates is great for individuals looking for increased stability, strength, and flexibility in the core area (abdominals and back). Although the Pilates Reformer is beneficial for virtually everyone, it is particularly important for athletes, including golfers, tennis players, skiers, runners, and dancers, to stabilize their core muscles.
Yoga Certified Yoga Instructor, Caroline Fabisiak, leads an Ashtanga/Hatha yoga class in the Mind Body Center on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesdays/Fridays at 10:30 a.m. This specialized class offers an intimate and personalized setting with no more than 8 people per class (sign-ups are required). Classes are $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Call (513) 527-4000 to register for Caroline’s Ashtanga/Hatha yoga class. To enjoy the benefits of yoga in a more personalized setting, one-on-one yoga training, is also available for individuals of all ages..
